Today was the day I go to Niagara Falls! I got up and had a fill and after a shower packed my rucksack with the daily essentials and then walked to the bus station and hopped on the bus to Niagara, it was about a 45 minute journey but went quite quick and in no time I was at the town of Niagara, it was a nice little town and the people seemed nice, it was only a short walk to the falls, when I got there I had a wonder round whole area I got heaps of decent photos and after a bit of walking found a spot in the shade and pitched up against a tree and read a bit before heading over to the maid of the mist and buying a ticket for my boat ride, first of all I went to the viewing platform and got an incredible view of Niagara Falls and the horse shoe falls. After a few snaps I headed down the lift and got on the maid of the mist (complimentary blue poncho in hand!) I got on the boat and donned my poncho, we were shortly at the falls and the wind was ridiculous, the force of the falls with so powerful it just added to how impressive they were. We then made our way to the horseshoe falls which was incredible, as the name says it's shaped like a horseshoe so we went right into the middle and got pretty soaked, god bless the poncho! After that we headed back to dock and when I was off the boat I walked over to near the base of the falls and got some more awesome pictures! It was getting on by this point so I headed back to the bus stop and caught the bus back to Buffalo and walked back to my hostel. I had a quick dinner and headed back to the the bar I was at yesterday, I got myself a beer and watched the Por vs USA, naturally I was the only one in there rooting for Portugal, so when they scored the 95th minute equaliser I was pretty freaking ecstatic! I got chatting to a pretty cool local guy and he bought me a beer and a shot, we then got chatting to a few people and quickly made some friends, after a couple drinks at the bar we headed to another bar for a drink or two and then we both called it quits as John had work the next day and I didn't want to spend the money haha!
