We are now in Northern Queensland having left "Rosie & Tosanne" after a wet bank holiday weekend!

We arrived in Cairns and spent a couple of nights there. Didn't really like Cairns it's full of backpackers!

We picked up a hire car and went up the coast to Port Douglas, via Ellis Beach and Yorkies Knob. We spent a couple of nights in Port Douglas in our new tent and explored up to the Cape of Tribulation.

On our way south we drove inland to the Cairns Highlands and down the coast to Mission Beach, where we have a great campsite next door to a pub!

We are leaving here tomorrow and will spend a few days in Townsville and get out to the Great Barrier Reef. From there the road trip continues south.
