Our plans of relaxing, seeing a little more of Sydney and heading up to Bathurst during our week of house/dog sitting for Tony & Rosanne were slightly disrupted on Sunday when I (Phillip) had to visit A&E with what turned out to be Appendicitis. After our round trip from Sydney to Adelaide, Adelaide to Melbourne and back to Sydney we have covered over 6350 miles and still only seen a small part of Oz. We are going up to Alice Springs and will drive to Ayres Rock, Kings Canyon and Devil's Marbles from there so lots left to see. We had a couple of days in Melbourne, managed to get to the city, to St. Kilda and we found Ramsey Street! We have driven now south along the coast to a place called Lakes Entrance and it does what it says on the tin. Tomorrow we'll drive round the lakes and up to Canberra before ending up back in Sydney on Friday night for a week of house/dog sitting.

We had a good day in Adelaide and even managed to find a cinema. We then drove along the Great Ocean Road to Geelong, near Melbourne. Today we have been to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat, a reproduced gold mining town from the 1850's which was interesting and then we drove into Melbourne. We had a great weekend with Tony & Rosanne, then headed west to Wagga Wagga, onto Mildura and today arrived in Adelaide. Three back to back driving days and we've made it! Along the way we visited Mungo National Park and the Jacobs Creek Winery! A few days here now to chill out before heading to Melbourne!
