"To us"
Waking up hungover in London feels great when I know I have my Oxford mates still in town, combined with a dash of crazy Caz makes the hangover almost non-existent. Also, the warm familiar taste of Tim Hortons gets any day off to a great start.
Driving to brunch discussing politics:
"What do you think about Scotland possibly leaving us?"
"If they want to go, let them go"
"Good luck with your new currency"
"It's like a bad break up, I won't beg darling."
Brunch at The Table Cafe; a modern city brunch place with slightly dazed and confused staff, however warm and friendly. Juice, bagels, laughter.
Brunch was followed by a content meander in the cool spring sun on the South Bank of the dirty dying Whale ridden Thames. Staggered goodbyes at various London sights; St Paul's Cathedral, Borough Market, London Waterloo and one of Southwark's many Novotels.
Back to the comforts of Edd's sofa with Walter Mitty and the Sex and the City gals. Cocktails at midnight to round off the weekend:
"To us, and 10 fabulous years" Carrie Bradshaw
