We left St Louis on our way to the Meramec caverns...this was supposedly where Jesse James hid for a while ( his story is very similar to our own Ned). The caverns are absolutely stunning...the rock formations are breath-taking and the way they have presented them is outstanding with very effective lighting. It is rather interesting as it seems that the National Parks in the US play a huge role in the upkeep and maintenance of most major historical elements. We then had lunch at a diner that is similar to the Rusty Nail in set up. It was called the crackerbarrel and the food was pretty good. They had rocking chairs out the front in which we all relaxed in. Then it was back on the bus and on the way to Branson ( time for an afternoon nap.) we had a stop off where Hannah purchased a large dill pickle...she was very excited about this. We arrived in Branson at about 3pm and after a little rest and organization we hit the shops where Hannah got her hair straightened in a very slow process ( she was the only customer)... But just before we left the room Hannah decided to start eating her pickle...well the success of that can be seen in the photos...she said it tasted worse then toilet water !!!! After a slight time issue ( me in control freak mode) we met the bus to go a a legends concert...we had a meal which was ordinary but the concert definitely made up for that...we saw celebrity imitators of Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, The Blues Brothers, Michael Jackson ( who could really dance) and Elvis Presley. Elvis was brilliant...if you closed your eyes you would believe it was for real...very impressive. The hotel room was upgraded and is very sauve....and the bathroom could quite easily fit a heard of pickle-eating elephants. We also aere upgraded with our seating for the concert...so a good day all around. The temperature is still around a lovely 30. On our way to the concert we saw some of the destruction of the tornados from last september..we are actually in a belt called tornado alley...it made a fair mess of Branson and a number of buildings are still being cleared nearly a year later...a tad scary. Tomorrow is a big day and we have an unbelievably early start of 5.45am!!!!!
