This morning I bumped in to Doreen in the bar area while I was having breakfast and as we were both going to head down to Noosa, I offered to give her a lift down there in my van, secretly hoping that she would offer me some petrol money along the way.
On the way down to Noosa I got a text message from Leander and Debbie saying that they were going to stay at a town called Landsborough tonight as they wanted visit Australia Zoo today and that they had reserved a place for me next to them at the campsite down there for tonight.
Just before we got to Noosa we saw a brown sign to a lookout point so we headed off up the hill to see what it was. When we got to the car park we saw the sign saying that we were at Tewantin Forest Reserve. From the lookout point we could get a view right out over to Noosa and the surrounding area to the sea and although it was an overcast day it was worth the trip up here.
I arrived at Noosa and first headed for Doreen's hostel that she had booked, got her checked in and then we went for a walk around the town and down to the beach. We stopped at the supermarket on the way back to buy some lunch then Doreen sneaked me in to her hostel and we cooked lunch there in the kitchen before I left and headed to meet Leander and Debbie.
I arrived in the very small town of Landsborough and checked in to the Landsborough Pines Caravan Park and waited for Leander and Debbie to finish off at the zoo and arrive at the caravan site.
Once they arrived we decided it would be nice to have a BBQ and take advantage of the free BBQ’s down by the lake at the campsite. So we all headed into town and to the butchers where we bought the tastiest BBQ pork that I had ever eaten and one of the biggest steaks that I had seen for a while and of course some Strongbow’s to share between us.
