Punta del Diablo is a laid back beach town on the northern coast of Uruguay. The town is small, just a handful of shops and snack shacks, but it has a stunning coastline with pristine beaches and that's why we were there. While we were in Montevideo we received great news from home - Steph's best friend, Allie and her husband Tony, had their first baby girl, Lydia Jasmine Jones. The pretty town of Colonia de Sacramento was our first stop in Uruguay. It's a quant little place with cobbled streets lined with cafes and restaurants, just 50km across the water from Buenos Aires. Joined by Rem and Ellie (friends from home, also travelling South America), we made the most of the open air dining and found a lovely little restaurant on the main square.
