Hi Jean, just got back last week, been away for 13 months in total! Left oz in Jan went to Malaysia, Singapore and Sri Lanka. Before getting to oz last jan went to Thailand for 1 month, Hong Kong, and Dubai.
I you want any info on the best hostels, where to go/where to avoid, buying a car/van in oz, drop me an email, I'll be glad to help.
If you're going to Thailand go to Koh Phi Phi and stay at long beach (coral reefs just off the beach)
If going to oz, well there are many great places, I travelled round 32,000kms of it in a campervan. We had a great time and was on the road for 8 1/2 months!
