Pedro's Mission
I was really disappointed with Moscow. A part from Red Square and The Kermlin Moscow was a complete dump!! After me and Chris had found a hostel a stay in we went to see Luzhniki Stadium which was massive.
On the second day we queued fir two hours to get into Lenin's Tomb but when we got near the front they closed it (cheers Russia)!! After that pointless queuing we walked around Red Square where St Basil's Cathedral and the State museum is and walked around the Kermlin and saw Ivan's big bell. Apparentely it is the biggest bell in the world. After all that excitement we decided to get drunk.
On Wednesday we bought our train tickets to Kazan which is 12 hours away from Moscow (not far enough in my opinion). We then walked for an hour and a half in the rain to go and see the cosmonaut museum but when we got there guess what? The bloodly thing was closed for refurblishment, thanks Lonely Planet!!! In the evening we went to see CSKA Moscow beat some Slovakian 3-0 in a Champions League qualifier.
On the Thursday we decided we liked queuing so much that we queued for another 2 hours to see Lenin. This time we did get into Lenin's Tomb and for a bloke who has been dead for about 80 years he wasn't looking to bad although he was a bit pasty. After we had a look in the State Museum and St Basil's Cathedral before catching our train to Kazan.
