We have been lucky again in that we have found another beautiful camping place this time just 800m out of the town of Kas. We are on a rocky cove with terraces down to the beach, a diving centre, a small bar/restaurant. The small harbour is lined with restaurants and is more a backpacker, independent traveller desination than some of the mass tourist resorts along the coast.

We went into town last night for a gorgeous meal of meze and stuffed aubergine and spent the morning chatting to a Swiss couple parked at the side of us who did the same trip as we are undertaking 3 years ago. They have just visited Syria and Jordan on this trip and are on their way home and have been very helpful to us giving us lots of hints and tips and GPS co-ordinates for places to stay. Whilst writing this blog we are sat in the shade of the bar drinking a beer and thinking life is good!!! There are all nationalities of people here at this campsite sitting together in the bar and on the sun terraces, reading or playing cards and things it is really a very nice place. Also the bar has wireless internet access which is bliss for us as we don't have to go to a grotty internet cafe we can update our site at leisure.

We have just strolled down to town again for a good cappucino as quite a few places in Turkey only sell Turkish coffee or mega strong Nescafe with coffee mate so we are having our fill whilst we can!!!
