Hi everyone, I arrived in Queenstown late yesterday afternoon, after watching some mates doing a bungy jump. I was tempted but after the sky dive it didn't actually look that scary (only a 40ft jump). So I decided to save my money and do another sky dive as soon as I can. Queenstown looks like a great place to stay for a few days. The bus leaves on Monday, but I think I'll stay here and wait for the next bus on Wednesday I think. It's got everything; stunning scenery, shops, bars and nightlife and loads of people (which is a change from Barrytown!). The difference between West and Central south islands is quite amazing. The west is all sub-tropical rainforest and the other side of the ridge is amazingly brown in comparison but the views from the mountains are just mind-blowing. We stopped on a mountain yesterday, got out and realised we were so far up that we were ABOVE the flight path of the planes landing at a nearby airport. Saw about 50 dead possums yesterday, the roads are covered with roadkill. Nice. Gotta run, Love to all Pen x
