Hi all, Taronga zoo was lovely, so many animals I've always wanted to see up close and now I have. There's a section in the zoo where the Kangaroos could literally walk up to you. They were tame so there were no worries of getting kicked in the head. Saw some amazing creatures, some of which I'd never believed existed until yesterday. Turtles over 100 years old and as huge as a smart car! The Komodo dragon which really does look like something out of Jurassic Park. The cutest koala bears with attitude. The camera was playing up due to a low battery yesterday so the photos aren't so great. In the afternoon I went to Dee Why Beach and had snacks at a restaurant with a view of the beach. Very nice. Met some really nice people last night in the hostel, we went out and got very drunk because one of the guys was turning 29 and wanted to celebrate. I have a bit of a hangover today, but not too bad. I've also managed to catch a cold that's going round - typical me! Did I also mention that there was a shark sighting at Manly Beach the other day? Quite funny watching people running out of the water in a panic. I just sat on the beach and watched the kerfuffle!
