GRAMPIANS NP- HALLS GAP
We have finally headed off on the potentially unending traversing Aussie land. With a short stop over in Bendigo with Kerry's sister and kiddlets ( thanks Taylah for the art work!), we have set up camp at Mt Staplyton Campground in the northern Grampians. Whilst our timing has been a little crappy, being the march long weekend, we are taking it slow and easing into the beauty and lessons surrounding us.
The bird life, extra friendly nocturnal kangaroos, emus, echidnas and lizards have been a pleasure to chillax with.
It's hard to imagine this was all once under the sea- and will most probably be once again. High up amongst the rocks you can see where the water has carved her impression- and if you close your eyes and smell, you would swear you were by the sea!
Many stunning walks and experiences await us here over the coming week.
Mt. Hollow- a steep adventurous climb, reminiscent of childhood wonder clambering over trees, through crevices, daringly maneuvering your way further up the mountain- fear and exhilaration simultaneously pumping throughout. But oh what a view! Shirtless rock climbers demonstrating their skills- man, these guys are FIT! Phenomenal core strength..impressive muscle tone...Mmm, yes and the scenery from the summit wasn't bad either.
Mt. Zero lookout, and Mt. Zero Cafe www.mountzeroolives.com is an absolute gem! About 30km south of Horsham, in the northern grampians. A young couple have created a beautiful little spot for lunch, a cuppa and cake. The veggie burger are THE BEST, most TASTY I've ever had. I reckon even meat lovers would hoe into one of these!!! Yummo! Check out the website for all sorts of fab recipes. We got our supply of organic quinoa here to last us 12 mths I reckon- brilliant! Highly recommend you drop in for a visit if you happen to be in the area.

Mim Binion Hi P&K its good to see that you are on your way for the next leg of your journey through life. I hadn't thought much about the land being under water in the past, and I don't think much about it going under again , my goal is to live one day at a time with God's guidance and love. Its great that you are living your dream. hope you are starting to feel back on top of things again Kerry after adjustment to Dad's passing. Nev & I are celebrating 25 years of marriage this week and to enjoy the moment we plan to have a couple of days by the river which we both love, we will be staying in Winby Resort at Moama , not far from home but we will love the peace and quietness of that area and may go for a cruise along the river in a river boat. great to read your news good luck Mim PS please note I have a new email address
