Abbie - All of these days are about what we did in Sydney. As we drove down it was beautiful weather, when we got there it started to rain. As we drove into where visitors park for the units we saw Aunty Joan and Uncle Alan. We went inside, unpacked and got dinner given to us. The next day we went shopping at Westfield shopping centre in Sydney. I bought a wetsuit, some pants and a beautiful dress all for my birthday (the next day). As I woke up the next morning I was so excited! It was my birthday!!! Aunty Joan decided to come with us. First I chose to go and get my ears pierced. It stung a bit but after a few minutes it stopped. Next we boarded the ferry we were going to catch over to Manly Beach. It's much quicker to get there by ferry, rather than driving. We had fish and chips on the beach and walked along beside the beach as well. It was a very cute beach. Then we had to catch the ferry back over. Once we got back we went and saw the Sydney Opera House. We couldn't see the theatre but we did go to the shop. It's very cute. Then we walked across to The Rocks opposite the Sydney Opera House. We went to a very cosy restaurant there. Then we caught a triple decker train to where we were going to meet Uncle Alan. The trains are all triple decker there and they are lots of fun. You get on at the middle and there are two staircases, one going down and one going up. When we met up with Uncle Alan we went to the pizza restaurant that we had booked for my birthday. It was pouring rain as we were walking there. We had beautiful pizzas and then the restaurant people came out, turned the lights off and started singing happy birthday to me with a proffiterole on a plate as a birthday cake! It was for me!! After we said thankyou we left and went back to the unit and had a good night's sleep.
Olivia - The next morning we drove to the shopping centre and spent the whole day shopping for Abbie's birthday. She got a wetsuit from the surf shop and pants from Target. Dad and Abbie sat down on a seat while Mum and I went shopping and I bought Abbie some nail polish. The next day Abbie enjoyed opening her presents in the morning and we drove in our Aunty's car to the Roselands shopping centre. Abbie was getting her ears pierced there. We then went on a rocky ferry and Dad, Aunty Joan and I stayed outside on the rocky seas. We got there and enjoyed fish and chips on a cute little beach. We then headed back to the ferry and got off at the Sydney Opera House. We couldn't go in but we could go the shop. We then went to a little café called The Rocks Café. We had a coffee and cake there and then later we went out for dinner. Then we went to bed. And sadly for Abbie that was the end of her birthday for another whole year.
