After another evening spent in Cody we are finally leaving after a stop in Wallmart and Paul having a look at the gun, bows and arrows section. Went for breakfast at Irma hotel, Buffalo Bill hotel named after his daughter. The bar there is a gift from queen Victoria to him after she blew him off on his tour to London... Kind of present to say sorry. Went to the visitor centre and there is just so much to see. Went to the buffalo bill museum, gun exhibition over 3000 of them, Indian culture display, yellowstone exhibition too. We decided to stay in Cody one more day. This morning we decided to go back where we have seen the grizzly bear yesterday evening. Wake up 5 am and then drove up to Lamar valley... No bear. On the way back stopped at a river a carcasse was in the water and a dark gray wolf was having a go at it. Drove to the east exit of the park and seen a couple of more wolves along the way and bison of course. Spending the evening in Cody.

Back into the dirt track and blacktrail drive and guess what moose again. This time 2 of them and so close to the road. As it did snow the night before their antlers were full of snow and we could look at them from across the road. Got up at 6 to head off west towards Canyon, still in yellowstone and decided to go down a dirt track called black tail summit. It's a bit bumpy but the American suspension is well up to the job on the car. We come across a few cars and a guy from Texas who says there is a bull .... up the hill, so I follow a guy up the hill on foot Leaving Steph at the car.
