Paul ventured out for 21km through the forests. Spectacular views and mostly empty forests. Trails everywhere. Yvonne ventured in and snoozed until 9AM.
After breakfast we clambered into the two cars, with Yvonne and Nicola riding in the open topped mini with Lisa, and Paul keeping his hair straight with the sensible ones (Including Aunty June and Uncle Les) with David in the Range Rover. We headaed off arnmed with Lisa's extensive packed lunch to Ongar, for a trip on the railways. After managing to sweet talk the stationmaster into literally parking on the concourse, we marvelled at the train enthusiast's sheer joy in keeping the trains running. They took it pretty seriously! We went back and forwards for a few hours on different trains to a second station, then into Epping Forest and back. Pleanty of space to munch our lunch on the train, and plenty of time for a hot drink at the far end (Thanks Uncle Les!). No rain, but it started to cool midday.
After David recovered his car from the VIP section, we met in town with the girls for a drink at the pub (Thanks again Uncle Les!). I tired to face a Guinness look alike, but bailed towards a cider.
On the way home the girls deviated to our old local Tesco's, which hadn't changed a bit in 14 years! Indian takewaya was the order for the day, and it didn't disappoint. Nothing short of spectacular!
After dinner, we got taught the game of Kings, which took quite while to get through. After Paul getting sucked by a side bet with Nicola, and Yvonne winning the final pot, we all fell into our beds...
