I'm meant to be catching the 10.30am ferry from Wellington across the Cook Strait's to Picton in the South Island. However it's been cancelled because of rough seas. There are 2 ferry companies who cross between North & South Island. The other company have also cancelled their 1.30pm sailing. I'm due to sail at 6pm, fingers crossed for calm water. I headed straight to the Te papa museum, which loosely translates as treasure box. A must see place to visit in Wellington. There is already a long queue formed to get into the 1st world war exhibition. You could spend a day in here looking at all 6 floors. Amazing displays, very interactive and impressive exhibitions. Saturday night shopping in the huge local supermarket 2 minutes walk from the hostel. You could get lost for a week in there, a huge selection of items. I was looking for wine or cider. I fell in love with the label on this cider. It was very nice if a bit sweet for me which made it go down quicker. Wild Side had several other flavours with different designs on the labels so I may have to try some of the others. :0)

I spent 7 hours travelling on the bus today from Napier to Wellington, with a half hour break to get some lunch. I checked into the hostel and then went for a wander around town. I strumbled across a night market with lots of yummy street food from different countries. I tried a couple of difference things - spicy chicken in a burito and some noodles. Dinner Sorted!

A kiwi told me to try Whittaker's chocolate which is made in NZ. I found it to be a bit too solid and hard for me. You can't beat a bit of Cadbury's fruit & nut or Green & Blacks?
