Scottish Sister's on Tour!
After another overnight bus journey on Greyhound we arrived in Sydney somewhat unrefreshed!! First task was to find a pub showing the Celtic game - we ended up in Paddy Maguires with 300 celtic fans and the 'Big Yin' (aka Billy Connolly). After a night of celebrations we took it pretty easy on Sunday, mostly chilling out and getting our bearings round Sydney. We ended up staying in Sydney for nearly a week and stilll did not manage to do all the touristy stuff that was on offer. We did the obligatory tour of the Opera House where we got to go inside and have a look around all 5 of the theatres (Yes there are 5 in there!) We also visited the Blue Mountains, the Sydney Museum, went up the Sydney tower and laughed at all the little ant people trying to walk up the Harbour Bridge in the wind and rain. Darling Harbour was right beside our hostel and had loads of stuff going on from the lighting of the brightest Christmas tree in the Southern Hemisphere to a free digeridoo concert. All in all we both really enjoyed being in Sydney (except for the weather!!)
