Long Way To NZ
Tescos - there is a Tesco's in Bratislava that sells sandwiches as we know them - damn I've missed them.
Pretty crap hostel but met three Aussies there - Kevin, Eric and A.N.Other, which helped me sample the 60p pints out on the terraces in the Old Town square - Yes, finally somewhere where the beer is at a decent price!
The Old Town is really nice, well looked after narrow cobbled streets with plenty of places to see, although all museums are closed on Mondays for cleaning - the only full day we had to look around. The castle is huge but a serious dissapointment. Just a big square building that has basically been rebuilt in the past 50 years.
We thought we would try some typical Slovak food so we ordered Dumplings with Sheeps-cheese. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted in my life!! For once I didn't even finish it - avoid sheeps cheese at all costs - think they call it Bryzna or something similar.
We left Bratislava on 24th April and made the short journey to Vienna. Could have stayed for another few days just lazing in Bratislavas square soaking up the sun though!
