Omis to zadar
We woke up at 8am again knowing the coach was at 9am to zadar it went straight there so we didnt have to keep an eye out which was good. The bus came and in croatia you just pay the attendant once your on board, it cost us 100 kuna plus 7 for our bags. The jouney was long taking over 4 hours but it was on the costal roads and it looked amazing, boats and tiny islands everywhere. When we got to zadar we happend booked any accomodation as the internet we used the otherday didnt last long enough, it was okay though because a lady was at the bus stop showing photos off her house and she offered us an apartment for 2 nights for 440 kuna. We accepted and off we went in her car it was about 3km away from the centre.
We paid and she showed us the map of the place and we hit the beach, well we thought there was a beach nearby? Erm..... No theres not just little harbours and crappy concrete walkways. We ended up walking the full coast to the old town. We grabbed lunch and i grabbed an ice cream as it was roasting, we walked around the centre and found some ruins, zadar is only quite small. My feet were aching at this point so decided to walk back, i left copey and went to the supermarket buying a 2l bottle of lager. I chilled out on the balcony with my beer sunbathing , so i rang emily and relaxed, good job i went back as my feet started to blister, god damn new shoes!
Copey made it back later on and he needed a beer he was completly knackered, too much walking. Our roommate came back and she was an old american teacher who had been made redundant so was touring europe for a month. She gave is info on a hostel in prague and she was off to split so we gave her the info on the place we stayed. Copey and i then went out to the find a restaurant with football on as the world cup had started. We didnt find one just a restaurant on the front which seemed to be the local wine and dine place, there where couples everywhere, one in particular definetly needed to get a room! We got back and went to bed, the only bed left was a double one though, so we got in our bag sheets and tried to get to sleep. No chance, no aircon and it was roasting hot, the window was wide open but no wind was blowing....
