20th May 2006 - Day 50

Arrived at Singapore at 8 pm for a few hours - sat around recovering from the flight (which was a little scary as we flew through a bit of a storm - very bumpy and i'm not too good on planes at the best of times!!!) Anyway caught the next leg of our journey to Darwin.

May 21st 2006 - Day 51

Flight was alot better although didn't get any sleep - so we're both very tired. Arrived at Darwin and took ages to get through customs and immigration - asking all sorts of questions and looking through our bags, thought at one point they were going to take some of our souvenirs. Caught a shuttle bus to the hostel arrived at 6.00am and were informed we couldn't check in until someone else checked out up until 10.00am - both very knacked but stolled around Darwin as it started to wake up - loads of Sunday morning joggers. Walked to the Seafront which is spectacular - had a kip on a bench (me - Paul stayed awake - bless!!!) Woke to find thousands of people walking their dogs along the front - some kind of walkathon. Hopefully going to check in soon, then some sleep needed I think!!!
