Day 2 - After a very hot and long nights sleep, we awoke to thunderous rain, but decided to head out to Chinatown for the afternoon. Got soaking wet, but had some awesome local food. We then headed to the MBK centre, the biggest shopping centre I have ever seen! About 9 floors of wall-to-wall shops. After getting a few things we headed back to the hostel and planned our night out. We got a Taxi with 2 other guys we met (Jeremy the Aussie His name was Jeremy Jeans! and Dave the Canadian). We hadnt however planned on Bangkok traffic! After over an hour in a taxi and the driver trying to take us wherever he wanted we finally got out, and found a place to eat and drink. After that we went through the busy night markets at Pat Phong. We headed home to the hostel around 12 and played pool and cards till 4am while drinking our new favourite beer - Chang.
Day 3 started with us all waking up late (11am) and having to check out by 12. We got all our bags sorted, collected our train tickets for later in the day and headed off the Chatachuca Day market (massive) with all 5 of us crammed into a Tuk-Tuk! Had a wander round all sorts of stalls for ages. Once we had had enough, we headed for a restaurant with a great reputation, Cabages and Condoms. A very well known and highly reccommended place, which has a quirky if strange atmosphere. Had some loveley food and some more beers. Once done we headed home to the hostel to collect our things and we are now awaiting to leave for the train station as we get a night train to Chang Mai in the North, 14 hours on the train should be lots of fun...
