So we left off having dinner at Fatàl, which was fun Mark and Tim both ate snitzels which were huge( you can see in the pics )
Sunday we meet up with Tim to take the hop on hop off tour , it was shoot up the top of the bus but was a great way to avoid some walking in the heat.
We loved the view of the city from the citadella , there was also a buzz around as Bruce Willis was filming Die Hard 5 so the main bridge was closed and we could see the helicopter filming the chase scenes. Sunday night we went to visit Eti and Dori for dinner but with the heat and constant walking the boys hit the wall so it was an early night.
Monday morning we took the bus to the Hero's square and walked around the park, the boys managed to find a fenced in soccer court but they didn't last too long playing given it was 40 again. We all headed off to meet Peter for lunch , with Tim now being able to answer all the questions about which family belonged to where !! After lunch we look a walk to see where Mum lived, the kids loved seeing that.
Tim headed back into the city and we went to Mammut ( meaning Mammoth) which was a shopping centre to say farewell to Stefi and Deni who were driving back to Salzburg, it was really sad to say goodbye to them as we don't know when we will be lucky enough to see each other again.
From there we headed to the Gellert which is one of Hungary's oldest thermal spa's and has one of Europe's first wave pools which the kids loved. It was such a divine setting to have a swim in. We then headed back to meet Tim for our final dinner which we had in a square in front of an old old church , it was sensational. To finish off a crazy busy day we took the night bus tour and visited the main attractions at dusk.
Today we meet up with Tim and Magdi for coffee after packing up to leave, we said our goodbyes to Tim and then headed to the airport, funny thing was having a snack for lunch and Tim walked up and said " hello again !!!"
The flight to Treviso was quick and easy and with our new suitcase no problem at all. We found the hotel which is between the Rialto bridge and about 200 meters to San Marco Square. We took the boys for a walk and when they came out in the square there jaws dropped.

JD Nik - you write so well - really bringing it alive. Enjoy that Hungarian and Italian heat - its freezing cold and icy grey here at present. Love to all JX
