As I sit in my back room looking out the doors, a sudden feeling of jealousy rises inside of me because as you two are living up on some gorgeous Aussie beach I'm faced with a miserable, raining Oldham which is cold and horrible. Yeah Darren, you're right, was a shame about Arsenal - at least with Henry staying we've a chance next year. Thats the Champions 'LEAGUE' not the Champion'SHIP', which I know you know all about. How did the play-off go?!!! only kidding...love to all the family

We're both great, arrived in Byron Bay today...like a 70s hippy timewarp...its brilliant. Surfers was great too, and Pat had a good bday with sun, sea, sand and BIG waves!

I'm good. Have just changed departments at work to the criminal department and really enjoying it! I had a criminal client hit on me yesterday whilst I was advising him at the police station and asked if I'd take him home!! Although highly inappropriate I did find it rather amusing!!

You'll be interested to know Rach that I'm going on a date with a nice young lawyer I met at my sister's wedding last weekend!! Will fill you in over email!

We love your latest photos - I want a jacuzzi in the back garden! I hope you've been keeping a watch on Daniel's blogspot - there are some super new photos on it. I'm off to Glossop again on Sunday 20th to stay for the week and Dad and Helen will join us up there on Dad's birthday. We've bought the cats an automatic feeder which so far they have ignored. I hope u recognised Monday for the important day that it was......Enrique's birthday...unfortunately for me I only realised when my Spanish oral teacher (Julio) asked the date and I screamed 'Aye caramba! Es el ocho de mayo! El cumpleanos de Enrique Iglesias!' El dia cuando cumple 31 anos!' that roughly translates as....'Oh my gosh it's the 8th of May! Enrique Iglesias' 31st birthday'! I sent a card so hope ure dropped him a line or something x hope ure still having mucha fun x love2 u both x

Well, ccongratulations on making us all that little bit more miserable on a Monday morning! Sounds like you're enjoying all that jonny foreigner has to offer, make sure you keep enjoying yourselves. While you're out in Oz Pat how about a bit of pre-Ashes disruption - perhaps some technical advice to the aussie quicks on bowling 'The Peking Express' way would go some way to help retaining the Ashes!

Don't want to make you regret your decision to travel to sunny climes but have to inform you that the sun has been shining here too - admittedly it was only a 5 minute break in the clouds and might actually have just been someone switching on the lights in the office, but still - with a bit of imagination...
