15 th march

Tired hot long way from home. Iam the first to arrive. Dont think Iwill go out as I dont think i could fined the hotel again. Not going to eat till i leave India everywhere so dirty. Hope i feel better after a good sleep.

Have had a good sleep. I am now going to take a taxi ride around Delhi (on my own how brave is that). Two people have arrived that are on my trip. It was good to talk to someone.

16th march

Group are all here now, 11 of us all together from all over the world. Going out for group dinner tonight and my first curry in India. My room mate is Ann she is from the usa.

17th march

Left Delhi in the early hours by train to Jaipur. Delhi at this time of day just has to be seen. People asleep on the streets, cooking on open fires. Cows and dogs all over the place. They nothing it makes you think how lucky we are.

Have had an amazing afternoon. Went to the Amber fort. Most of the tourist places have children begging at the entrance. We have been told not to give them money as most of the time they dont get the benefit of it

Tonight 5 of us are going to see a Bollywood film. We have to cross a few roads to get there. Might not sound bad but with all the traffic/cows and dogs coming at you its hard not to run, we have been told the traffic will go around us. Wish me luck.

18th march

Morning spent at the place wonderfull place, but I have to be honest its the street life that fascinates me. Its hot dusty dirty but full of life. I have seen things I will never forget.

19th march

What a day we have had. We are now off the tourist track. Our hotel for the night was a maharaja place. Went to the other place on a cart pulled by a camel, all the people came out to se us. Dinner that night was back at the hotel in the court yard.

21st march

Today we went to see the ta mahal at sunrise. To see it was amazing far better then any pics I have seen of it. Tonight we had 6 of us on a tut tut we must be mad.

23rd march

Khajuraho today. Out of 85 temles only 25 remain. The temples are well know for there stone carving, nothing is left to the imagination. They were built between 950 to 1050 ad. Absoluty breath taking a must to see. Tonight we have to take the overnight train to Varanasi.
