Today has been another lazy day wandering around Vientiane. There isn't loads to do in city but is nice wandering the streets and along the riverbank. Although it is very dirty done there with the dust and feet and legs now look all tanned but I know as soon as i shower it will wash off haha.

Visited the Vientiane Gateway today it resembles the Art De Triomph in Paris. Vientiane has a lot of links to Paris the only European Laos embassy is located in france. the french influence can be seen throughouthe layout of the city. Am going to go all urban geography student here haha but it resembles Corbusiers mage of Paris with wide sweeping avenues all leading from a central point so makes getting around so much easier! As everywhere is in a huge loop!

This afternoon i spent sipping iced coffee at the fountain and people watching whilst reading my book was soooo relaxing and seriously doubt you could have the peace to do that in many other capital cities there was only 3 people in the whole vicinity!!

Have thoroughly enjoyed my time here but am moving on tomorrow evening to Hanoi! although will not arrive until Sunday due to the length of the journey! So tonight will be spent packing up and relaxing making sure get a good nights sleep too!!
