Hello everyone. Sorry it has taken so long (three whole days I know) I was having issues with this thing. So obvoiusly I arrived safe and sound. My flight was ok, not great, but not horrible. Plus I didn't get sick which was a bonus. I have yet to take any spectacular photos, but you know that once I do they will be posted. On my flight over from London I met some fellow canadians who were doing the whole swap thing too which was cool. And was lucky enough to have someone pick me up from the airport. Even though it was pissing rain here. We caught a bus to somewhere "near" my hostel and walked the rest of the way in the rain, no rain gear, and no umbrellas. I showed up looking like a drenched rat. What a great first impression. After I got settled Michelle and I proceeded to go walking around Dublin and see the sights, then take a bus back to her place... Well we hopped on the wrong bus and ended up going to the totally wrong part of town... Walked around lost for over an hour when we finally found a cab and took it back to her place The next day I was luck enough to get into my orientation even though I procrastinated too long. When I got there I saw the two boys that I flew over with. After all of the long and confusing information we went out to get them phones. My days have been pretty slack, though there has been ALOT of walking... way too much. My body is slowly getting used to it i think. I have probably walked more in the last 3 days than I have in my entire life. I have explored quite a bit of dublin on foot, we saw a horse in the middle of the city eating some grass, went to an amazing park, even though I forgot my camera, went to a pretty cool mall, except you have to pay to use the washroom 20 cents. kinda strange, but if you go to the top floor of the parkade it gives you a 360 view of the entire city. still haven't seen the sea, but there are mountains here. I also have spent a large amount of time in the GNIB Garda national immigration board..... wow... what a gong show, you have to show up (early) to get a ticket, and then they tell you to come back at a certain time where you wait some more. I got my ticket after 11 and they told me to come back at 5:30 so I did, it took 3 hours to register, then another hour to get my card.. they eventuallty started turning people away because they couldn't finish them before they closed. I think tomorrow is my day of rest... then out to explore pub life. I'm also interested in relocating to Galway to see how life is on the other side of the country... I'll have to see. But that's it for now. Hope that was enough for now. I'll update again soon, maybe i'll even have pictures. Ciao
