Arrived Darwin - Nothern Territories, Australia, DOWN UNDER!! Got shuttle bus from the airport met Ruth, Jess & Emma. We checked in at 2am. They asked if I wanted to go out with them I was like sure.. Then they said ok so meet us in like 15mins back here and I was like oh you wana go out tonight!! It was great - went to the Lost Ark & stayed out until like 6am.. Great craic there are like 5 boys to every 1 girl.. But it
really was quantity not quality!! ha ha

Darwin is cool - there are small groups of Aboriginal people hanging on the streets.. You feel really sorry for them a lot of them are drinking alcohol and they are shabbily dressed and generally shoeless although apparently thats just an Ozzie thing! It's terrible what the Ozzies did to them only 30 years ago.. But they accept that and are trying to put things right like free university education..

Next day hung out by the pool at our hostel - Melluluca - the best hostel in Darwin! Went to the Vic - was going to become our regular! Was dead good. Tony & Maeve came out. Had a ball. Lazy days and fun nights pretty much encapsulates my time in Darwin..

Kimmy - Ruth's cousin took us out on a drive around Darwin - Cullen Bay, Fannie Bay. Had a drink at the Boat Club and then dinner at the Wharf. Had Kangaroo
burger it was nice quite rich. Darwin is a modern city as most was destroyed being bombed in World War 2.

We did do one one day tour to Litchfield National Park. It was gorgeous really beautiful waterfalls and rock pools. Went on the crocodile cruise first off the guy doing the commentary was so funny he just kept repeating everything made comments like, "Noone has been eaten by a croc for a while, You would be silly to swim in the water because of the crocs.." It drove us all insane. You can't swim in the sea in Darwin cos they've got stingers and crocs..

There was a drama when the fan went on fire in Tony & Maeve's room. But luckily only some of their clothes got damaged not everything.. Went out to Shenanigans for Karaoke. "I will survive & Sweet Dreams" were the song choices!! Girls gave me a souvenir Ozzie number plate it's so sweet! Ended up at the Vic our local! Good night - good times.

Woke up dying no alcohol today! Lazed by the pool there was a huge thunder storm as it had been so hot.. Went to the cinema with Ruth & EM - Jess left last night..
Went to the Vic for the free meal - so we had to buy a beer - and then we had to drink the free bottle of champayne we got given as we'd been there so much!
Fell asleep at the airport -tiredness and champayne induced - thank god for the old man who came and woke me when the Brisbane flight was boarding!!!
Tomorrow Brisbane - Goodbye Darwin you will be missed had a lot of laughs!
