I'm happy to say that we did almost nothing today and completely loved it!
After writing yesterday's blog, we went down to the beach for a swim and a long walk. At the end we found a great watering hole on the beach and had a few beers there before dinner. Great to watch the sun go down from a very relaxing spot.
We walked by a sports center and for the 2nd time saw people playing a hybrid sport we haven't seen anywhere else in the world - a cross between tennis and racquetball. Doubles game, but smaller court, and you can play the ball off the walls. Must investigate - it looks fun.
Ate dinner at a place recommended in a guide book and was pretty underwhelmed, but still it was nice to eat outside. Saw some funny Americans carrying the Rick Steve guide book, (this happens frequently) and can only hope that we are marginally less obvious.
Today we had another late breakfast after sorting out some Morocco trip details. Had another stroll through the shops, and then spent the rest of the afternoon lounging on the roof terrace. Great views and wifi access! We had a great chat with Zoe, the owner of Dar Cilla, and she kind of makes you feel like one of the family here.
We had a tapas meal, and headed home to hit the terrace again to see the lights of Tangier after dark. Dinner again outside in a pedestrian lane amongst whitewashed buildings with pots of geraniums on the walls - so pretty, but I didn't bring my camera. I really don't want to start taking this delightful place and scenery for granted. It's been a gem of a find on our travels, and a great place to unwind for a few days. We're planning to stay here again the evening we take the return ferry back from Morocco.
