We were up early after catching up on much needed sleep & were ready for our breakfast buffet. Although plenty to choose from we don't really go for noodles at 7 am! There was plenty of fruit, cereal etc but of course no bacon; even so we ate well! We then decided to investigate our surroundings & set off into the sweltering sunshine. First stop: KL City Centre park (KLCC). This is a lovely green oasis in the midst of all the noise & bustle of Kuala Lumpur & from it there are great views of all the modern buildings around it, in particular tthe Petronas towers. We soon started to droop so headed back to the shopping centre for the air conditioning & a cold drink. Whilst there we booked to go up the Towers tomorrow.
In a moment of madness (I blame the heat!) we later braved the public transport system to get to Merdeka square & Masjid Jamek Mosque. Let's just say that I will never complain about the London underground or criticise Les' driving ever again!
