We've been having difficulty getting this journal to upload, hence delay in adding anything to it. Not that there's much to say at the moment - after our visit to the Petronas towers disaster struck! Suffice to say that I was not at all well & feared that I wouldn't make it to the airport for our flight to Auckland. Today we decided to visit the Eco Forest surrounding the KL Tower. This is the last remnant of the rain forest that covered this region. We duly set off, map in hand, to walk from the park. After walking for ages & having been given the wrong directions by various people along the way, we got to the entrance to discover a notice on the gates to say that it was closed! We were up early after catching up on much needed sleep & were ready for our breakfast buffet. Although plenty to choose from we don't really go for noodles at 7 am! There was plenty of fruit, cereal etc but of course no bacon; even so we ate well! We then decided to investigate our surroundings & set off into the sweltering sunshine. After a very good flight lasting almost 13 hours, followed by an hour's drive to our hotel we're now off to explore downtown Kuala Lumpur & take some photos. Although it's only just after 11am here it's 3.30am at home so we should really be in bed! An early night might be necessary!
