How can it be a year ago? That was when we started our search for flights and our route started to formulate. In just 8 days, we'll be boarding the plane ✈️ for our adventure to begin!!

A little countdown helps make the dreary, damp English weather bearable. It's bizarre how there's one part of my mind being chilled and relaxed, whilst the other is saying: 'Aaaaaaaaasrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh 9 days!!!!! I'll never be ready in time!!!!"

Finalised our route today. All of our accommodation is booked. And my DVLA code is ready to pick up the hire car!

So today, it's just 3 weeks to go. Am I panicking? Nooooo..... Sunnies are in so will pick them up on Wednesday. Ruth is off to try & find shoes & clothes to pack! Packing will start in earnest next Saturday. In typical Pam fashion, I am feeling overwhelmed with all that needs doing before the excitement begins. One day at a time, just remember one day at a time...even when there's only 21 of them!!

Clearly my subconscious has finally worked it's only 24 days, based on all the crazy happenings in my dreams. Why we would want or need to pack copper lithographs or papyrus, or moreover why they would be considered contraband by the mean customs guy who ruined my lovely purple suitcase, I'll never know...
