Bidding our apartment farewell, we went across town to the Bluebird before waving adieu to Nashville. We drove south to Birmingham & after leaving Tennessee, we grabbed lunch in Ardmore, Alabama. Birmingham, a steel town replete with civil rights history, lacks personality, Starbucks, navigable highways and our patience! So we carried on eastwards into Georgia and are now snuggled up in our 12th floor bedroom in Atlanta. 7 states in 14 days. Only 5 days lef...

Friday was a blast! Museums in true Slingsby style, Greek temple replica, being on the famous stages at the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman interspersed with thunder, rain and pit stops. Our stay was rounded off by seeing Soul2Soul Faith Hill & Tim McGraw in concert at the Bridgestone. What a whirlwind experience!

Despite a slow sight we saw the angel & believe murals, walked Downtown, took the hop on/off trolley tour, lunched at the Hard Rock Cafe, visited Marathin Motorworks and visited the Opry Mills..,all before supper; a delicious egg & mozarella salad. A great day with my bunny on an amazing road trip.

After all the activity of our road trip adventure, Ruth and I shared a relatively quiet day chillaxing. And this evening I met with our dear friends to see Queen & Adam Lambert at the Bridgestone Arena...plus drinkies, of course! The concert was by far the best idea my friend has ever had
