Sophie And Tami Were Here
Tuesday 15th May
Journal entry brought to you by Tami
Today was officially mine and Sophie's three month anniversary of leaving England! To celebrate, we hugged. It was magical.
Then we left the hostel of separation to travel to Westport, and on the way went to the Nelson Lakes National Park for lunch. Sophie and I went for a long walk with Steve, Brian, Dan, Ricky, James and Mike, which was really pretty, and we had a stone-skimming competition on Lake Rotoiti.
We then drove to the Buller Gorge, and although Sophie didn't want to, I decided to go jet boating with Mike, Jamie, Ricky and Dan. It was wicked, but just not quite as good as the trip to Fitzroy Island. Did get to do some spins though which was cool. And the boat had heated handrails! Was sooo nice!
We checked into our hostel a bit later, Sophie and I were sharing a room with Steve and Brian. I decided not to go out that night as I was exhausted and knew that I would pay for it the next day if I did, so I had an early night at about 10.30pm. Sophie went out for a bit but also came back reasonably early, think we were both just tired from the journey of the day, and the night before.
Was not impressed at about 1am when Brian and Steve decided to wake us up because they wanted a 'Girly chat'. I didn't get back to sleep for another couple of hours, groan. Uneventful day.
