Ozygurus: Family of Four
Hello again to our friends especially those in Class 2B and Prep A at Wilston State School. This is the second of our Kids blog entries. There are some new pictures and videos that we hope you can view. We have now been away from Australia for two months and have lived in our motorhome for five weeks. We have visited playgrounds in nearly every city we have been to and we love exploring on our new bikes. Macayle has learnt to ride and is getting faster every day. We have been trying lots of different food from the countries we are visiting but our favourite is ice cream! We stayed with friends from Germany and we all rode along the Rhine River together. We spent a week at Innsbruck up in the Alps in Austria. The campingplatz had a wonderful playground. After this we drove through the Dolomite Mountains in Italy then via Slovenia to Croatia. We are now staying in a lovely little town on the sea on the Dalmatian Coast in Croatia where we have been swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. Yesterday was Dylan's fifth birthday so we had a great day with lots of presents. We now have a small keyboard to play. We rode in a horse and cart to the Neuschwanstein Castle which is the one in Disneyland logo and also in the movie "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". This castle was built by King Ludwig in the 17th century inlcuding running water and ducted heated. We spent a day at Europa Park - an enormous amusement park where you can visit theme areas from many European countries. We went on nearly every ride and the best ones were the aeroplane rides and viking ship rides. We loved driving a miniature sports car and floating on a log through rapids. We rode a cable car up into the snow on a Glacier in Austria and slid down the slopes on a toboggan. We fell off a couple of times and Dylan ended up with a mouthful of snow. We made some small snowpenguin and threw snow balls at each other. All the cows have cow bells on so the farmers can hear where they are - they make lovely tunes. You can see pictures of some of the fun things we have been doing. We enjoyed picking strawberries in a field in Austria. We sailed on the Necker River to Heidelberg where we caught a funicular tram up to the castle. We all played a game to find a name for our motorhome and have settled on TITO the KETTLE VAN! It has been lots of fun learning words in different languages - in Croatia you say "dobar dan" for hello and "do vidjenja" for good-bye. We miss you and are thinking of you. Love from Macayle and Dylan Guerin, do vidjenja!
