Mileage 2393. Two nights and a surprise that suddenly nights are cold! Around 1000 metres high makes a difference even this far south. Salamanca is Oxford in the sun and for me was a bit lacking in the vitality of say Cordoba. We had the only bad meal in the whole of our time in Spain, albeit with a bottle of wine thrown in should we have chosen to drink more than a glass each.

The best aspect was sitting in the grand square watching the world go by whilst catching up on our email on the free city wi-fi. School parties having fun relaxing in the sun, impeccably behaved.
