Mileage 1342. Long day but comfortable on excellent qualiy, free, Spanish motorways. Few stops, but did stumble upon Cistercian monasery in the middle of no where, surrounded by town seemingly made mostly of adobe.

Aranjuez is home to one of the Spanish royal palaces - and it was free to EU citizens on Wednesdays! Makes membership all the more worthwhile.
