Woke up and got ready for the bike wine tour. FaceTimed T as it was his birthday and spoke to the whole Claridge Clan which was lovely. Got a taxi to the wine valleys with Rachelle and Paolo (our friends from the hostel). hired our bikes and set off to the first of four vineyards. The first was a family run business and the owner (Carmello) gave the tour, he had awards and write ups from all over the world and his wine was also shipped worldwide. The second was a large company, one of the biggest distributors of Mendoza and most of their good wine goes to France. We bought a Torrentes white wine and some sparkling wine (which is apparently served in Gaucho club in London). The third we stopped and had lunch, the meat was like chewing on a tough boot, we were able to feed most of it to the dogs though. The fourth place was a liquor, chutney and chocolate shop. We got to try sweet and savoury chutneys, all types of chocolate and then shots. Rachelle and I went for the home brewed absinthe and the boys went for a chilli based one. they were then eager to get us back to bike hire shop before the absinthe kicked in.... On the evening we went to the bar next to our hostel and then the snooker club down the road.
