I put the camera in the sun on the dashboard and just like magic, it has decided to work again. Yay! The leaves on the trees are changing color now, so it was a really pretty drive, although there is still a lot of construction going on. The tunnels in the Rogers pass are being repaired, as well as road widening at Golden and repaving at Banff and numerous other places. It's good to be home.

We went for some delicious dim sum this morning with Dave's folks and then headed to the tire place to pick up some tires. On our way out of town, we stopped to say a quick goodbye to Jody. We received a number of comments from passers by when we unpacked the car and then repacked it in the parking lot outside Jody's clinic. We managed to recoup a little more space for the driver. We particularly like the scenery of the Nicola Valley which is just west of Kamloop...

Took the ferry back to Burnaby this morning. Dave has managed to locate a tire, will get that taken care of tomorrow.

We woke up yesterday to pouring rain again. Eventually there was a part in the clouds, so we went out to take some photos around the resort. It started sprinkling just enough to cause the camera to malfunction. I tried drying it with the hair dryer to no avail. Hopefully over time.... Jody left for the ferry right after lunch. She is back at work Monday morning. Dave and his Mom watched a Chinese movie in the afternoon and I read my book. Some new people moved in...

It rained hard during the night and the drumming of the rain woke me up a couple of times. Since it was still raining pretty hard in the morning we decided to drive into Sechelt and do some exploring. We thought this little wooden statue looked like Dave, so we had to buy it. Enjoyed a nice Japanese/Korean lunch. I had one of my favorites-rice in a stone bowl. Drove around the coastline a little on the way back. Had a delicious barbecue for dinner.
