Today is Chinese New Year's Day. It is the year of the monkey (Dave is a monkey) Before we went to bed last night, we all took a Dramamine tablet and another 1/2 this morning in anticipation of going on the rides at Universal Studios today. We all went on the Dr. Seuss ride together-definitely for younger children. What Jody really wanted to do was go to the Harry Potter section. The duck there is delicious. Afterward, a trip to the Chinese Bakery for a warm egg tart. We drove to Orlando from there. Well, we had planned on going to the sunken botanical garden today, but it was raining too hard, so, off to shopping. We all bought a few shirts. Made some dinner at home.

We picked Jody up at the airport and went to have some lunch. We came home and settled her in and met Dannyel. She is the owner of this condo. She's only 31 years old and pretty businesslike. We loosely laid out some plans for some of the time Jody is here. Went for Mexican food at Jake's Cantina. It was good and very cheap!

We met Rob and Dan from Ontario for dim sum this morning. It's close to an hour drive to the restaurant but worth it for the delicious roast duck, warm from the oven. This is a boys' weekend for them and a few other guys. There are big movie screens set up on the beach and a huge party for the Super Bowl game on Sunday. Started raining pretty hard today. Did some tidying in anticipation of Jody's arrival tomorrow.
