We drove to St. Petersburg today. I wanted to see the Sunken Gardens and it was a nice day for it. The gardens started in 1903 when George Turner bought the property. It's a 4 acre site, so nothing like Busch Gardens in Victoria. There was a small lake on the property that was 10 feet below sea level. He drained it and used that area for the sunken garden.
