Shanghai is a hugeeee city! We arrived very tired and hot after a 24 hour sleeper train from Hong Kong.
After a feast of a meal we got an early night in preparation for meeting Nathan the next morning.
Ash and I walked through The Bund passing through the amazing Pudong Skyline, we decided to take the alternative route to Nathan's hostel which was across the Yangtze River, through The Bunds viewing tunnel which was an usual experience!
It was amazing to see a familiar face after 5 months and we soon bombarded Nath with all our stories and adventures!
Shanghai is the largest and most prosperous city in the Far East and the most developed city in mainland China. Although there wasn't too many tourist attractions to visit, we had the most amazing experience just hanging out and people watching in the city. Eating plenty of street food, dining in the food courts, watching aerobics in People's Sq., window shopping through the many enormous malls, visiting the Urban Planning Museum, the site of the first national congress of the CCP and spending our last night taking a trip up the largest skyscraper in Shanghai which has the highest observation deck in the world.
We've loved Shanghai and its amazing to have Nath with us to experience our time here. Catching the bus later to Tangkou to climb the most magnificent mountain in the whole of China - The Yellow Mountain.
