Exactly 1 month on....Up early today after an early well needed nights sleep. Americans really don't know what a continental breakfast is...compared to our tea, croissant and jam. Theirs....pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns, selections of bread and bagels, yogurt, cereals, coffee, tea and juices!!! ...is it no wonder we have all gained weight LOL! On route to South Dakota 6hrs in car...blog picture for today portrays rush hour 9am on main highway! ...
Arriving at South Dakota lunch time. Took a visit to the active Ellsworth Air & Space Museum. Totally amazing aircrafts with the the B52 and B1 bomber crafts taking off periodically for training, what a sight n sound. Great tour missile silo, super interesting. But the tour that made my day personally was a private hr and half ytour around past and present aircrafts by a wonderful 80yr young Vietnam Veteran named Ron Steel who flew a F100 fighter on missions in Vietnam and Latterly Helicopters in Vietnam, the stories were just amazing, funny and at times tear jerking. As Ron told us about his experiences it was evident that even to this day his life during this time was a tough one...what a guy! And the only person in American I have ever experienced to turn down a gratuity offering! Great time and found lots if similarities in this guy to another Mr. Blue sky #awesome x
