On route to Jackson Wyoming. Half way we rest at Vernal a little town with a lot to offer. Before we arrived at Vernal we took a visit to the Dinosaur Bones Wall.....absolutely fantastic, a meeting and talk with the local ranger who's knowledge was outstanding, of course kids got their junior ranger badges by completing several tasks. So glad we detoured slightly what a great find to see real life dino bones and fossils! The place loves dinosaurs!! Great day fini...

We centre a little further from our hotel to Canyon lands NP & The Arches NP. So the ranger says only 1.5miles hike from car park to a particular area of the arches to see a particular arch called the Delicate Arch...OMG as the crow flys then fine but this must of been the hardest up hill hike we have done, over rocks and steaming heat! Water water water is essential. However a spectacular site! As are all the amazing arches in this land....we have all learnt...

White Water Rafting first thing! A fantastic trip down the Colorado River. But first we were driven in an old school bus! through more amazing scenery,in fact most of the films John Wayne starred in and many Dodge/Chevvy commercials were and are made here, the backdrop really is postcard beauty just like western movies of old. Goodbye Bryce Canyon and hello Moab, UT. Arrived in good time and booked white water rafting trip tomorrow! Kids very excited to be able to also swim in the Colorado river! Hotel perfect, great location for the Arches National Park and Archlands

The Hoodoo's was amazing highly recommend completing the Navaho trail. Some parts were bright orange in colour with trees growing out of the canyon! Simply stunning, we were able to get right down to the bottom exploring all the shapes and sizes of the hoodoo's fab day! Another Ranger badge for the kids after completing their many tasks
