GDay Folks,

I arrived in Melbourne, Australia at 1am this morning and after a short taxi ride i arrived at the home of 'Claire Curtis', a primary school teacher who i had met in Fiji, where i was very kindly extended an offer to stay at her house in East Brunswick and i have been totally spoilt by her hospitality.

We have tickets booked to see an AFL (Aussie Rules Rugby) match on friday night with some of her friends and on sunday i am being driven to 'Bells Beach' to see the place where Keanu Reaves catches Patrick Swayze in the epic surfing film 'Pointbreak'....it also happens to be one of Australia's best known & respected beachbreaks so i'm totally stoked!!

My plan of action is to stay around the Melbourne area for about a week and then book a Greyhound and tour up the east coast in the remaining 5-6 weeks!! I will hopefully be staying with some travel buddies in Sydney and Coffs Harbour and basically plan to surf as many spots as possibe and save as much money as possible for Indo.....watch this space!!!!

I hope that life is treating you all well and you haven't all been snowed in (i nearly fell over when i heard that Bournemouth had some snow!!!) over the past month and that you are looking forward to warmer and sunnier days......the weather here is around the high teens low twenties celcius so i'm bloody freezing after the 27-30 average temp of Fiji, which by the way was incredible and if you every get the chance, go because you will be welcomed in a true Bula style and you'll leave culturaly enriched and a much much happier person....i'm testimont to that!!
