It was interesting as we went in his own car. 7th July 2013 - up early as we are heading to Machu Picchu ! Dressed in our matching Alpaca Jumpers and walked to the train station. Train left at 7:45am. It has big window even in the roof so you can enjoy the view. They served us a snack of banana chips and tea as we went along. 6th July 2013 - meet the group at 8:30am we departed for our day trip through the Scared valley of the Incas today. We have a local guide that will be with us for the next few days and has an incredible knowledge of the local area and inca and even pre inca culture. 5th July 2013- breakfast at the lodge before packing and taking the boat up stream for 2 hours back to the town of puerto Maldonado. We saw some large shifters along the river bank and these were used to pan for gold out of the river. Back in town it was back on the bus to the lodge office to pick up our main luggage before off to the airport.
