1. Day 1 bright and early at the airport from 6am in the morning. Students were super excited to get the trip started. First the group went through a group check-in at the front desk of United Airlines.

Following this all students took their final photos before the trip with their families in front of the iconic Sydney airport 'departure' sign. The students then had their first encounter with the strict airport personnel unloading all their carrying on items for investigation, some including Mr. Danishyar were subject to the random full body scan.

Once the students passed the customs, everybody bought their breakfast with the spare time given before the airport gates opened. On the plane students had varying experiences some napped straight through the whole 13hours whilst other utilised the whole journey enjoying their time with the vast array of options provided by the inflight entertainment. Food was served several times throughout the journey and seconds were also available to the students.
