Day 4 - Universal Studios
Breakfast was served well by the hotel as per usual. The bus picked the group from their accomodation and rode for about 45 minutes through some of the main Los Angeles highways! Arrival at Universal Studios was roughly at 9.45am. At the front of the iconic universal studio logo a group photo was taken. Right next to the the logo was a larger than life celebrity from criminal minds Shemar Moore however, surprisingly the staff were more intrigued with him than the students.
At universal studios there was a vast array of rides yet again, in this park the level of technology and 3D animation for some rides were amazing. Some of the more thrilling rides included that of:
- The Simpsons
- The Mummy
- Harry Potter
- Despicable Me and Transformers
Students got the opportunity to eat a krusty burger for lunch as well as some other more delicious options.
The universal studio tour was an epic adventure with some very riveting theatrics from Saw, King Kong and Fast and the Furious.
Universal studios closed at 6pm which gave the group an opportunity to stroll to the Westfield at Culver City which in itself showed a great contrast to Australian shopping. Serving sizes and product ranges were fascinating. After some time in the shops students had the opportunity to grab dinner at the food court.
When back at the hotel students were instructed to pack their bags and ensure to be read for a 5.45am departure from the airport for Washington.
