Today we started our journey from Melbourne to Sydney through the Australian Alps with our photocopied maps! We saw plenty of cool things en route as we stopped at some random places, like a lake with what looked like dead trees in it really eerie! We had a bit of a nightmare driving and getting lost ending up going 100k's in the wrong direction! We didnt manage to get to where we intended to be instead we stopped for the night in a ski resort which was gorgeous, you could have been in France! At least we can say we have seen snow in Oz! The drive through the mountains was amazing, our first sighting of a kangaroo was in front of the car and Olof done a great stop to miss it. There was plenty more kangaroos to see at one of the rest stops, we were snapping pictures and said wouldnt it be great to see one with a baby in it's pouch and what happened a baby popped out of the one closest to us, she was adorable! After our night in Thredbo we continued up to Sydney with a short stop in Canberra to say we'd been there! We arrived in Sydney early evening and it was a shock coming into the big city after driving for 3 hours in the mountains and only seeing about 6 other cars!
