Well it's our last day in San Francisco, we spent it walking the Golden Gate Bridge which did have amazing views and was very cool but it was just a cool bridge! It was just as nice to sit in the square with a coffee, people watching but you can appreciate the tourist attractions! For dinner we headed to something a little more fancy, the restaurant on the terrace of Macys which was very special and had lovely views over Union Sq and great food! Now all thats...

Not so much to write today, had a nice morning having breakfast and relaxing at the hostel before we hit the shops of Union Sq! Went into all the classic shops Saks, Victoria Secret, Tiffany and Macys where we had the best cheesecake i've ever tasted! Was nice and sunny today so we sat people watching in the square. Walked up one of SF's great hills, my legs nearly gave way and i prayed for the red man at the crossing for a rest! Caught the tram to the piers an...

So, today we took the tour over to Alcatraz! It was a wicked experience to say you've been there and taking the very touristy audio tour meant we learnt our quota of history about the place. The views of the city from the ferry were great and one of the best bits of the tour! Olof ate at his very first Hard Rock Cafe, obviously eating burgers! Another long day, Katie's limping about eventhough I actually wore trainers, more walking done in the last 2 days tha...

So its our first full day and we spent it taking the trams down to Fishermans Wharf and seeing the views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Wandered around Pier 39 looking in the novelty shops, seeing the entertainers and of course sea lions! Visted the marina aquarium which is definately not as good as the real thing! Katie actually travelled hanging out of the tram and in the photos looks very excited although she freakishly scared at the tops of the hills...

Well it's finally arrived and we're in San Francisco and Olof even got here on a Jumbo! We're knackered, now been up for 23 hours so we've ate Subway might as well be in Luton! The hostel is lovely, up to standards! The place is shall we say colourful so far, more exploring tomorrow to sort out some trips!
